Teresa Cox studied Glass working and Drawing at the University of Minnesota and received her BS in Studio Arts: Painting and Drawing from Stout University in Wisconsin. Her early work was deeply influenced by the rolling and wooded landscape of the Midwest. She has developed a practice that includes painting, teaching and design work with public art installations at Winona University, Joy Park in the Twin Cities, Amsoil Arena in Duluth, Minnesota among others. Cox’s paintings and drawings have been exhibited nationally and internationally including the Albuquerque Museum of Art in New Mexico, the DeVos Art Museum in Michigan, the Painting Center in Chelsea, New York and the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, Italy. She has been awarded residencies at The Sam and Adele Golden Foundation in New York and the Vermont Studio Center and is the recipient of multiple Artist Grants through the Minnesota State Arts Board. Her work is in public and private collections in the US, Taiwan, Germany and Australia. Cox lives in the Twin Cities.
